The Broken Token’s goal has always been to bring people together. If you are human and you are kind, you’re welcome at our table. But we can’t just assume that everyone knows where we stand. So we’d like to make it very clear.

We support inclusion. We support diversity. We stand by the members of our community whose lives are impacted daily by racism and injustice.

Black Lives Matter

We support #BlackLivesMatter, and we pledge to continue using our platform to promote equality.

We're not making this post to draw attention to ourselves, and as many companies and influencers in the industry have stated, it honestly feels weird to post it. But we also want to make sure we're held accountable, and show that we're being honest. If us showing our action helps someone else take action, then we've made a difference.

We've made a donation to The Bail Project through the fundraiser of @CriticalBard, who hosted a #BlackAFRoundtable Twitch stream this week featuring six black creators from the TTRPG community. It was an informative and emotional discussion that dove into their personal experiences in gaming, and delivered heartfelt and actionable advice for those looking to be inclusive at their gaming tables.

If you're looking for a way to take action, you can make a donation to the #BlackAFRoundtable's fundraiser. Other members of the gaming community have also recommended making donations to The NAACP, or the ACLU.
