This die-cut wooden crown was a nice enough free add-on to my order. However, I probably would not choose to purchase this item. My reasons are as follows:
To start, I am not a fan of die-cut wood. It is too thin to feel sturdy, brakes easily, splinters, and requires finishing either with stains, lacquer, and/or paint. I just don't have the desire to commit the time necessary to finish any type of die-cut wood.
My second reason for not finding this crown optimal is due to its size. I have included a picture of it next to the coins I recently ordered from Broken Token. Their sizes range from 35mm to 15mm in diameter. As you can hopefully see the crown is far too small to fit on any gamer's head. Nor would one expect this, since the title is Mini Meeple Crown. But the problem is that it's also, in my opinion, too big to be a victory token, which is about all it could be used for.
Still it is a well made product, fairly easy to put together, and a fun little bonus to hand to a board game victor after winning. And is therefore a reasonably good item, which is why I gave it 3 stars.
Had it been a better size and made of a nicer material I would have given it a higher rating.
