I've been a fan of the Token's product line since they started and I've seen several iterations of their core design features. The Root organizer makes use of their latest design methodology that focuses on game setup, and I think it achieves that goal. The trays hold the right amount and combinations of components for quick retrieval and setup is really fast, much faster that sifting through plastic bags.
My only critique of the organizer is that it does not hold all content for the game that is currently available as of the writing of this review. I have both the base organizer and the expansion to the organizer; together they hold all components and cards for all content EXCEPT for the Marauders Expansion and all three Hirelings Packs. Plus, there are enough player boards and rule books that you kind of need to hold onto one of the expansion boxes just to hold those, which in my opinion defeats the overall purpose of a custom organizer.
Which is why my review title mentions a game crate. The Token's other game crates have hit it out of the park every time when it comes to games that have a lot of content. Their crates are efficient with space and provide a single place to bundle all the content. I would LOVE to see the Token Team take on Root as their next crate design project. I know you can make it happen!
The organizer is another example of good design and quality materials. The only thing that threw me off was the card storage because there was only one divider that fit into the slots. I accustomed to all of the dividers having the wings to hold them in place.
