shame is for customizers

after staining (not a good idea-smell!)then painting the parts.I assembled.later I added my own touch.A clear 12 mm dice is in the cage after serving me for 40 + years. Guarded by many small dice i can never use.

Contruction not optimal

It looks very cool, and the "dice prison" is a great idea but passing trough dices (middle size) could get stuck in the decoration "spikes" on the prison, so I had to cut them shorter.

Looks great painted

I bought this one along with the Gears tower, the loader and the fancy tray. I see some reviews talking about this one being a challenge to put together but I thought it was fairly intuitive. The Gears tower was by far the more complicated one to put together. The key does fit a little oddly in the cage, but if you wiggle it around it's not noticeable. If you paint this tower I recommend atleast 2 layers of primer the wood sucks up paint like crazy and going with out primer especially if you're using markers or thin paint will lead to bleeding and fuzzy lines. Also, I did break one of the tabs using too much force so be gentle!

Directions and fit of key cover otherwise amazing.

Once everything's assembled correctly I'd give it a 4.6/5. But due to the significantly increased difficulty in assembling this (Although it'll be amazing when it's done) it should have come with better directions. For example, the inter wall the key goes through. It's slightly off centered which is fine, if the directions specified if the SLIGHTLY longer end goes on top, or on the bottom, and other improvements like that to the directions. Also the piece of work that goes to the key and forms the wall by the key needs to be ever so slightly taller. Am I nitpicking? Yes, but this company makes amazing products and I've gotten used to 6/5 stars from them for the other stuff I've bought from them.

Great first purchase.

This tower was my first purchase from TBT, and I was not at all disappointed. Assembly of the cage portion was a slight challenge, but everything fit together perfectly. It looks great on the table and I love the sound the dice make as they tumble through. I've played a few different games now using my tower using different sizes of dice (d4, d20, smaller, larger, etc..) and haven't had an issue with any of them getting through. The key even fits inside the ramp portion of the tower so that it's safe when you fold it up to transport. Very happy with this product and will definitely buy from TBT again!
