Pretty good design, except for

The design is pretty great. Everything fits together perfectly and in the original box. Most everything is neatly organized. But I have some suggestions.

The bottom of the large top tray for the board pieces should be one solid piece, not two halves. It could fit on a sheet size that's almost the same size as the ones that everything else is cut from so I don't see why this isn't done already.

The dividers for the card trays have a lot of play in them compared to the other pieces so that makes it difficult to glue in place.

The center space in the card trays has a slot to help it lock in to the other tray when are stacked offset, but there is no corresponding tab for it. either the slot should be removed or a tab should be added..

The tray that holds the merchant, citadel, and barbarian ship doesn't have a uniform height, which prevents trays from stacking well in the box, they wobble and rock.

If the tray that holds the pirate lair tokens had been made just a few millimeters wider it would fit two tokens side by side and perfectly flat.

I'd like it if the section for the sun and moon number tokens had been subdivided again to keep them separated.

Lastly I wish there was some division between the pieces for the 5-6 player extension to keep them from getting mixed up. The sun and moon number tokens, the terrain tiles, and pirate lair tokens.
