The crate’s lid features the eight different element icons as transparent colored-acrylic windows. Whether your box is worn from so much play or you’re motivated to show proper respect to the island Spirits, this crate upgrade is for you.

This product is a kit that requires assembly. We recommend the use of wood glue (sold separately).

Nice, sturdy, and holds all the components. The look is quite nice especially with some stain and paint and some custom items (not included, of course).

Awesome product looks great and makes it easier to get into the game quickly.
Not a huge deal, but the top of the lid (which you have to assemble by glueing a stack of 3 large pieces together) is tricky and required quite of bit cutting/filing so that it didn’t warp when all 4 sides were attached. So the 3 pieces didn’t sit exactly neat and flush with one another, but you wouldn’t notice unless you were eyeing it closely. The overall stained “glass†effect trumps this minor imperfection.

Looks great. With Gorilla wood glue on the joints, feels really solid. Makes setting up the game much faster, because I can just put the different compartments straight from the box and right on the table. The insert is pretty tight. Took opening and closing the crate a few times and letting the wood relax before the lid would slide off and on easily.

It takes 20ish minutes to set up Spirit Island and the organizer takes that down to about 5. A great way to store SI and all expansions, including Horizens. With the new spirit board model going to card stock, I would be suprised if the upcoming expansion doesn't fit in the crate as well.
Building it was a little but more challenging than other crates I've gotten from BT. Some of the token trays had to be sanded down to sit flush. Ultimately not a deal breaker and I would still highly recommend.
