Our Battlestar Galactica Organizer features three removable trays and plenty of card storage. It supports all existing expansions in a single box (see below for details). Like all of our organizers, it supports sleeved cards and comes with 10 adjustable dividers. Cards are stored at an angle to support even the largest card sleeves in the existing game box.

Notes on storing all expansions in a single box: This Battlestar Galactica organizer allows you to compress all three expansions and base game into a single box with a couple of caveats. As shown in the picture, we are using Mayday standard sleeves for the large cards. Premium sleeves make for a tight fit and do not leave enough room for the wooden card dividers. Small cards are shown in premium sleeves and would allow for more dividers if using standard sleeves. The box lid closes all the way with all game boards and up to one manual. If all manuals are stored, the box lid may lift between 2 - 3mm.

This Battlestar Galactica Insert is a kit that requires assembly. We recommend the use of wood glue (sold separately).

Simplified Setup and Storage

I bought the Battlestar Galactica Compatible Game Organizer because I have all the expansion. Components were spread across multiple boxes, and it was time consuming to sort through them and setup a game. This was particularly true because I had cards and pieces in separate bags to keep them organized. It took time just to get things out of the bags.

With the organizer, all components did fit into one box as described under "Notes on storing all expansions in a single box". All the pieces are brilliantly organized an extremely easy to find now. The organization of the cards was not quite as fool proof, but the dividers help, and I've come up with a system of dividing cards based on whether they are used in every game or only for certain expansion rules.

Ultimately, I'm extremely happy with the investment. It is excellent for storing all expansion in a single box and has significantly reduce the amount of time it takes me to setup for a game or put away afterwards.

So Very Nearly perfect!

First off, let me be clear - this is an amazing bit of kit. Fitting 3 extra expansions into one box is an incredible feat, and the good people at Broken Token are to be commended. If you own even one expansion for this incredible game, you owe it to yourself to get this.

That said, there are some strange design choices that bring it just short of perfection. A comparatively large amount of space is dedicate to character bases, when the maximum you'll ever need is 7 (and maybe a couple of spares). Meanwhile the space for Battlestars is too small to hold the cardboard tokens, so they have to be stored elsewhere. Finally (and maybe this is just me) the large card lanes aren't _quite_ large enough to store all the sleeved cards (and the small card lane has 4 dividers, for a total of 5 slots, despite there being 7 card types) - I spent literal hours rearranging and compressing, and eventually settled on just spreading one chunk of cards on top of the character sheets.

(I do note some other reviews saying they'd prefer to have more dividers in the large card lanes, and while that organization would be nice, I think that would just eat up even more space)

Again, to be clear - this absolutely rocks, and I'm delighted with the purchase. But if they made a v2 that addressed these issues, I'd upgrade in a heartbeat.

Thank you for the well-thought-out review! You've certainly identified some of the design decisions that we have to make in order to design a product that we think will appeal to the masses. Almost every decision comes with a trade-off. For example, the slanted card rows can only hold so many cards, but it does so without creating lid lift. If we straightened the cards we could have made room for more, at the cost of lid lift, which many people don't like. As for storing the character bases, customers are not happy when they can't fit all of the game parts in the box, even if they aren't used in the game. So if we reduced the size of the character base storage and asked you to keep the rest 'elsewhere', this would upset many people. So while its near impossible to create a design that pleases everyone, we try to use the feedback we gain from customers to make the best decisions possible. Again, thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it!

We are sorry that there were additional taxes on top of the purchase price for the organizer. Unfortunately, we don't have a way to calculate taxes, like VAT, for international orders on our website.
